Please pray for our missionaries, including those who launched out from our church at the end of last year: Di Wilson, who continues to be a member of PCC and is serving in Agape Home in Thailand, and Rebekah Broughton, who also is a member of PCC and is serving with YWAM in the UK. PCC raised funds to support Bek during her time in the UK whilst ministering and studying at YWAM UK.
Update from Rebekah:
On June 26th – July 26th I’m heading off to Athens, Greece for a month to volunteer with a church there working with refugees. Another big change in my life this month has been in starting the School of Ministry Development. It’s a three-month long school (including the month-long outreach), that I’m almost finished. I graduate on June 16th. I’ve been diligently trying to keep up with homework, book reports and attending lectures, whilst maintaining my role in the communications department on the base. So safe to say, my life has been very busy!
I’ve been volunteering at the local Youth Centre once a week and I really enjoy it. The kids usually beat me at video games, but I still find myself looking forward to these times. The English teaching came to a close, so I replaced that with the Youth Centre volunteering I do during the week.
Just this past week YWAM England had a gathering of all the bases around the country for a get together, and our base went and camped out. I had a lot of fun and met lots of new people from around the country who have the same heart for missions like I do. The worship and teaching times were incredible, and I feel really rejuvenated from this time away.
God’s been doing a lot of great things in my life over the past couple months I’ve been at the school. Some stuff has been painful, but I think growth is painful sometimes. A prayer point for me for the next month would be that I just keep taking these big leaps of Faith towards being more like Christ and I don’t get discouraged when it gets hard. Bek xx
