In 2016, PCC started a new initiative called KYM @ PCC: Know Your Missionaries @ Pakenham Christian Church.
Every few months we will be releasing a prayer sheet focused on a missionary group that PCC has been involved with.
Our first prayer sheet was released in March, highlighting the Gebert family in Japan, followed by the Luscombe family who work in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia. We have also had a prayer sheet focused on one of our own Church members, Trevor Thomas, and the work he does in India with the Australian not-for-profit organisation mi-link (Missions Link International), of which Trevor is the director.
Our most recent prayer sheet focused on praying for the victims of, and those involved with, human trafficking and slavery.
Each year in November Pakenham Christian Church holds Abolitionist Sunday, in which we take a stand against human trafficking and slavery, and a world in which men, women and children are exploited for profit.
